Hmmm…New Years Resolutions…how original. Every year we start with the “New Year, New Me” phrase or we make some bogus resolution that we never seem to execute. “My new years resolution is to work out 5 days a week, twice a day, for an hour per session and I want to lose 15 pounds so i can fit into my senior prom dress.” We are saying this as we guzzle down a chili cheese dog and fries.
I don’t see the point of making a New Years Resolution. Why not set goals that you want to achieve over the New Year and mark it off as you go? I use to be the one with a list of resolutions and achieving may 1 or 2. To me, the word “goal” sounds way more promising than “resolution”. With having goals, you will actually work for what you have set before you. I’ve decided to make a New Year Vision Board. There is a section at the top for a quote that i can change periodically when i feel the need to. Under that there is a section for upcoming events and due dates for task. At the bottom are columns for places i want to go, goals and task, my dreams, and the vision of my future. My mission is to set myself a time schedule to have my task completed and as i complete goals and remove them from the board i will add another. I plan to keep track by making envelopes for each month and putting my completed goals in the envelopes to reflect on what i accomplished, how i accomplished the and when.
My new phrase is “New Year, Successful Me.” I say this because i am the same Ebany Renee. I cant say “New Me” because i would be lying. I am not a new person. I am simply improving and changing certain things in my life, people i am around so that i can become a more successful person. This year my goal is to open my mind more to learning. This year i promise to engage more in my business. This year i am going to grow my business!!!
Happy New Year!!!
New Year, Successful Me!!!
